Get A Delicious Treat at Gerry Frank’s Konditorei

7 Mar

Gerry Frank’s Konditorei, located in Salem, Oregon, has some of the best cakes known to man (well at least we think so). They have so many different desserts, in fact, it is hard to choose just one!

In addition to their excellent food and desserts, the Konditorei also has a truly adorable atmosphere. The dining area is cozy and quaint, and you can see rows and rows of cakes from almost any seat in the house.

Steph and I went there for lunch a few weeks back, to conduct some “research”. Their lunches are also super delicious. They have three different soups cooked fresh every day, and a bunch of yummy sandwiches and salads to choose from. Try the homemade mac and cheese! It’s cheesy and delightful.

After lunch (or dinner), it’s time to get serious about dessert.

We would suggest looking through all the dessert cases before deciding which dessert to have. Some of our favorites include Chocolate Raspberry Cake, German Chocolate Cake, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake, and Barney’s Blackout (a decadent chocolate cake). Each and every one of their cakes are absolutely scrumptious, so you really can’t go wrong! If you are looking for a smaller treat, Konditorei also carries a large variety of cookies, brownies, bars and cupcakes to choose from.

If you are in the Salem area, be sure to stop by! We can guarantee you won’t be disappointed. If you are traveling from outside the area, check out their website for a full menu!

Dreaming of chocolate,

Ash & Steph
